Antoinette Kloppers

ASSOCIATE: PARAGON ARCHITECTS

From a very early age, Antoinette wanted to become an architect and pursued this ambition throughout her childhood. She graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2005 and, after eight years in practice, Antoinette joined Paragon in 2013.

During her time as Professional Architectural Technologist, Antoinette developed a keen interest in regulations and construction law and was offered the role of Head of Building Regulations in 2016. In this capacity, she oversees regulation compliance and offers CPD accredited workshops on building regulations and accessible architecture. She is also currently pursuing a fellowship in arbitration from the Association of Arbitrators and hopes to bring a new dynamic to the practice with her unique skillset.

Antoinette is very passionate about the design of all-inclusive environments. With her daughter having a hearing impairment, she enthusiastically creates awareness about the rights of persons with disabilities and has presented numerous talks on the topic. She believes that “we don’t only have the privilege, but also the responsibility, to shape and influence people’s experiences for the best on a daily basis.”

Antoinette’s experience includes educational, office, retail, residential, industrial and student housing; and she currently oversees numerous projects delivered by one of the seven production teams in the practice.
